ECLIPSE SEASON SEPTEMBER 2025: VIRGO & PISCES
Hiii we have entered a heightened n’ holy two weeks of eclipse season. Expect some things to get random, exciting, uncomfortable, or maybe nothing at all if you're less endowed with Virgo/Pisces placements. For most of us, hidden truths will streak naked across the field of time and space in a succession of endings and beginnings.
Eclipses speed life up and so slow down where you can, strong realizations or emotions may make things feel urgent the next few weeks, but I suggest taking your time to absorb it. Likewise, eclipses are not isolated events, they are like rings on a tree connected to your larger development. Think about what was happening 18 years ago...9 years ago...or even 6 months ago on the last eclipse season March 2025...
March 2025 is somewhat of a palindrome with this month, Mercury and Venus will once again be in contact with Saturn in Pisces, but now on the opposite side of the zodiac in the more discerning sign of Virgo. Thus, we flip a pancake from earlier in the year to spot some missed ingredients, helping us reassess a situation with a more critical eye.
Yet, use your analytical powers wisely, don’t override what your heart knows with neurotic facts about what life should look like, something isn't more true when you pile on details about it. Despite all the data, and what looks good on paper...where is your energy pulling you right now...?
Sept 7th Eclipse
I know not everyone’s time in the womb was a peaceful Disney cruise - but the search to return never ends as we try to replicate this urge-to-merge with people, food, work, weed, scrolling. This first eclipse harbors a yearning for closeness and care. We may feel a sudden swell of gratitude for the people we feel most bonded to, or alternatively - the existential hunger for where our cup is not being filled.
With Mars in Libra coming off a squaring with Jupiter, we are reminded that vulnerability isn't what hurts our relationships, indifference does. There may be a sweetness swelling beneath new efforts. Yet, with Saturn also in the mix, be discerning. Notice where you're over-giving or leaking energy by exaggerating someone else's capacity for a type of connection that can't be met. Choose your battles and boundaries.
The Virgo-Pisces dynamic also has a lot to do with public health, the ability to get help when we’re suffering and also the paperwork around it. The more access to healthcare flakes away - the more we need mutual aid, alternative healing and our own ritual practices to help us stay sane.
A micro-habit may quietly ask for your commitment Sept 13th-17th when Mercury in Virgo is awakened with a Cazimi (ding !) and opposite Saturn. The smallest devotions can help you hold center. This will definitely come in handy during the intense window of astrology from Sept 19-24.
Venus enters 0º Virgo Sept 19th with the Moon, a peck on the cheek that launches us into the next eclipse at 29º Virgo on Sept 21st.
The final degrees of Virgo evokes embalmment images - a mummified Marie Condo - it asks us to discard what has been lost in respectful ways. You may find that you just can't keep up with a certain circumstance anymore, and it may need to be responsibly washed, wrapped, spritz with holy water and put to rest. A moment of contraction or restraint may create a necessary vacant space for new possibilities.
The next day on Sept 22nd is like a clapperboard slate as the Sun swerves drunk into Libra opposite Neptune in Aries. The Equinox tries to catch its balance, but Mars is already lighting a menthol in Scorpio. Everything you’ve been procrastinating on for two months may find the tunnel vision to get it done in two hours. Though, Mars in Scorpio will be clanking chainmail against Pluto, which can ignite control issues or bring about ruthless acts of jealousy.
Expect things to feel extra intense as the Moon enters Scorpio the morning of Sept 24th, passing the shadowy-baton of the eclipse to this alignment. Basically, Mars will Mars’ing late September and so Libra season may not start out as peaceful as we’d like.
And yet, it may be exactly what we need in order to stop beating around the bush and take action. Radical new themes are being awakened and asking us to find closure with what's no longer working. For now, I send you full moon blessings. May the next few weeks reveal truths beyond anything you imagined you needed - may the tree rings of your larger development stretch its meaning-making grooves and bend time towards a more creative future.
